I was thinking about taking Game Theory next semester as an elective for my Economics degree. From what I understand, it’s pretty math-intensive. Would you suggest that I take Calculus before taking this course?

Typically game theory is a pretty high level course (its a 400-level at my college), so you can expect it to be challenging. It is extremely math intensive, but moreso from an analytical standpoint. If you understand numbers and number theory relatively well, then game theory might work for you. Calculus isn’t really required for game theory, because calc is structured and game theory is more creative. i hope this helps in your decision
