Undergrad statistics will be hard if you have trouble with algebra. Graduate statistics is a nightmare if you are not a mathematician.

Prepare to find tutoring if you are going to take the class.

I was a Psychology major and was AWFUL at math. But I passed regular statistics w/ a B. Then when I got to grad school & had to take advanced statistics I flunked the course 3 times & then gave up. I never got my masters all because of that ONE f*cking class. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Statistics is the art of measuring mass phenomena through small samples. If you have a logical mind the math is secondary. I just finished my PhD in psychology and have taught stats on many occasions. My math background is not high: I took trig in high school and college algebra in college. The important thing is to pay attention, read ahead, ask questions, and don’t be scared of the formulas!

The level of math doesn’t really predict how well you’ll do in stats. I passed the AP Calc test with a score of 5 in high school, didn’t take any stats until grad. school and still did mediocre. The moral is, stats will be hard for anyone who DOESN’T STUDY. Hire a tutor early on if you feel lost in class.
