What is a good method in doing good in math?

Ok,
im a just regular grade 9 student in high school.Now the only subject thats bothering me is mathematics, I’ve been always having problems with this subject.My highest mark in math was about 65% and now that i’ve read that i have to pass this year to get a chance to go into 436 math.
Without 436 math i probably wont be accepted in college probably.Is there any method that will make me remember the laws of “blahblahblah” Something like that ?

The general rule for me always was: Do questions, questions, questions, questions, questions. Do each and every problem in the book (not just the ones assigned as homework).
Once you’ve done them once, do them again.
Keep doing every question until you always get it right.
To remember the laws, half of it is understanding what the law means or implies, half of it is memorizing “this law means this”.
If you do all of the questions and are using the laws, they are easier to remember.

find a tutor that works for you, one tutor doesnt fit all, I went through alot of them before I found one that I “got” and I went every day and asked as many times as I needed to how to do something untill I really understood it. math was my biggest challenge, I stopped going to school for 9 years because I couldnt get through it, I finished it last year
just dont give up or try to move on if you dont understand, and accept help from anyone that offers, you might find some people that are really helpful

practice makes perfect, if you’re taking subjects in math called MATH A or MATH B you can get the barrons regents it basically the NY regents test but i believe if those mathematics is part of your curriculum, using the barron regents books helps to sharpen your skills.
