How come my English is advanced but my math is bad?

I was not even born in the U.S.A, i came here when i was eight. And recently in our school we took a test (I forgot what it was called) and i got 403 on the english part, which is considered advanced. But I got like a 300 for the math part.

Is something wrong with my brain? How come i am so good at English but suck at math?

How can i learn everything there is to knwo about math in a short period of time ?

I want to take the GED test but i really suck at math and i have tried math study materials from my library and stuff but it don’t really explain how to …. Its more of refresher type material but i need to learn it before i can refresh it :o ) is there an easy way to learn how to do all the math on the test in a short period of time ? Say like 3-6 months ? I know basic math : Adding, Subtracting, Multiplication but thats about it.
I know i can but how ?

What type of Math do 10th graders usually take?

I am going into the 10th grade. I learned a small amount of geometry and mainly algebra last year. I suck at Math and have since the 6th grade. I want to buy some books that will help me understand Math. What type of Math do 10th graders usually take? Any books or computer programs that you can recommend? I have had F’s in Math since 6th or 7th grade but I excel in everything else. Thanks!
