How much math do you use in economics?

So I plan to major in economics and receive my Ph.D in that field too and I just want to know how much math is involved – beyong calculus?

I know economics is a social science, but I really want to study it from a mathematical, scientific, and theoretical perspective.

My communication skills are not bad but not exceptional so I want my great math skills to compensate for my average debating and/or speaking.

How do I improve my math skills?

What are some basic ways I can improve my math skills without doing a ton of extra problems? (Like crossword puzzles improve lingual skills, what’s the math version of that?) I’d really like an easy, fun way to do so. Thanks!

How can I refresh my math skills for finishing college?

While I used to make straight A’s in math all through high school, I have become quite rusty on my math skills and am getting back in school and looking to finish my college degree in Marketing. Math concepts have always been easy for me to grasp and I pick up easily but I couldn’t do some of the algebra problems and equations I used to do with ease. Is there anyone out there that could recommend something for me…an instructional dvd or somthing they know of? Thanks for your feedback on this!

Is math a crucial skill to be a successful Pharmacy Technician?

I have worked in a Pharmacy before, in a large hospital, transporting drugs and refilling supplies. However I am taking a new position which involves actual dispending, packaging and sterile preperation of drugs. My math skills are not very strong. Will I have a problem doing my job?

What is average age for having simply math problems memorized?

My son does well in all classes but I have concerns about his math skills even though he is on target(here they grade by what the kid should know at the end of the year not what they should know at say the end of the chapter) I think that simple addition/subtraction should be memorized by now things like 12-7=5 and he insists on using a number line. We were using flashcards, workbooks ,etc from age of 3- end of 1st grade when he seemed to have them down pat. Any ideas?
