Math Help

I am content with my math score and dont think i can do much better in that category. However i would like to improve my english score when i retake the SAT this march. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to practice and possibly raise my Critical Reading score to atleast 600. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Also im a Junior in highschool, thanks.

honestly, the best thing to do is read. My math was decent, 720, whereas my reading score was 540 when I took it in my sophmore year. Just by continuing to read books, even if they are light reads and enjoyable, will help raise your score. I for one, went from a 540 to a 640, which was a nice raise!

One strategy that’s effective for the critical reading section involving two long passages is to read and answer the questions for the first passage before starting the second passage. After reading the second passage, answer the question corresponding to that passage, and finally answer the questions that relate both passages. Good luck.

if you go on amazon.com and search for ‘critical reading’ you will get a listing of books that pertain to the subject. At that point, you should be able to find a few titles you can go check out at the library, or if you can, purchase online. Good Luck, and you will succeed with this I am sure.

The best thing to do is ask an english teacher for some practice standardized testing stuff. (in CT we call it the CAPT but it is probably something else) Look over the sections that have the boxes and see if you can get some anwsers.

Also going to the library and looking over a SAT prep book might help becasue they normally teach you good tricks (I have always used the princeton review books for my SATs and APs)
