How much math do you use in economics?

So I plan to major in economics and receive my Ph.D in that field too and I just want to know how much math is involved – beyong calculus?
So I plan to major in economics and receive my Ph.D in that field too and I just want to know how much math is involved – beyong calculus?
I know economics is a social science, but I really want to study it from a mathematical, scientific, and theoretical perspective.
My communication skills are not bad but not exceptional so I want my great math skills to compensate for my average debating and/or speaking.

Don’t depend on other people to just guess this one for you. Go to your school’s website and check the degree plan. Then look at the descriptions of each class too so you know what you’re getting yourself into.

If you like math, you should be fine with Ph.D. level economics.
There is plenty of it in almost any sub-field.
