How is math used in photography?
Math Help
I am doing a project for a college math class, and I need to present photography as it relates to mathematics. Can anyone give me any good examples of ways photography is directly affected by math, or specific parts of the photographic process that depend on math? Thanks!

Photography uses optics, and optics is physics. Physics, of course, is full of math. Start with the concept of the ‘f-stop.’

I guess you would need to know a lot of angles and be able to know how to adjust the camera in order to capture objects at different lengths

2 pictures + 2 pictures = 4 pictures
A picture 8 x 11 cm = 88 square centimeter
s*** like that

Optics are used by the camera manufactureres and not the photographers directly.
But simple geometry can b used to calculate ,from what distance a photo must b taken to catch a scene.
When making poster of it,to decide what resolution the photo must b saved is necessary so that the pixels do not det expanded.

There are many dealing with physics and optics but the best one that I can think of is how digital cameras produce a quality picture. Unlike older cameras, the quality of a digit picture is base on the resolution of the Charge Coupled Device (CCD) at the focal point of the lens. A 2 mega-pixel camera can produce a picture about the same quality as an older camera at about 20 feet.
Also JPEG images are stored in a compression format expressed by fractal mathematics. This allows JPEG images to be easily reproduces at multiple resolutions without quality loss.
